Singing

Lisa Faye specialises in Music Theatre, Pop and Jazz but will also help students with other styles of music too. She will help students find and improve their voices, gain confidence, expand their repertoire and improve their audition / performance skills. All levels are welcome from complete beginners, those just wanting to sing for fun or professionals wanting to refine their repertoire. Lessons will help with sight reading music, breathing, tone, confidence, etc In May 2009 The 5678 Singers was created giving adults the opportunity to meet and sing together on a regular basis, working on harmonies and having fun!

At least once a year her students are encouraged to participate in a concert so they can demonstrate their new skills and also build their confidence and performance skills. During school holidays workshops are held on a variety of different themes giving the opportunity to sing with others, work on harmonies, group singing and confidence.

Students have the option of entering for singing exams in Music Theatre and Popular Music with the The London College of Music through Thames Valley University. To date Lisa Faye has had 100% pass rate with one student achieving the highest mark in 2004. The exams are fun and help explore different eras and styles of music. Exams are open to all ages, young and older, children and adults and are a great way of providing a goal for your singing and a sense of achievement when you pass with flying colours! Also LCM Singing examinations Grade 6, 7, 8 earn you UCAS points too for those going onto University!

‘A huge thank you for all your years of help…you are inspirational’

Piano

Having played the piano since the age of 8 and almost gave up at 14 Lisa knows the importance of encouragement and making learning fun when it comes to the piano! Thanks to great teachers she kept going and lots of encouragement from her parents…now she is so grateful she never gave it up and today loves passing on her knowledge and expertise in a fun, friendly way, encouraging both interest and talent. Her students include both children and adults, from beginners to those wanting to refresh rusty technique. Lisa Faye submits students for exams through The Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and to date has had a 100% pass rate. Also worth remembering is UCAS points can be earned for examinations taken through ABRSM for Grade’s 6,7 and 8!

‘…you have made it really enjoyable to play’
