Following on from last weeks hugely successful evening at The Coach and Horses in Sutton Scotney, Lisa Faye will be singing at The Wonston Arms, Wonston, Winchester on Saturday 17th September from 9pm.

Staying away from her usual repertoire of Barbra Streisand material, Lisa Faye will sing a collection of pop favourites from the 60’s through to the present day. Why not drop us an email with your song requests!

The evening will be the last opportunity for people to see Lisa Faye before she begins her UK tour of Streisand – The Main Event, which kicks off at Winchester’s Theatre Royal on Thursday 13th October.

September 2nd see’s Lisa Faye return to The Coach and Horses in Sutton Scotney, Winchester, Hampshire ahead of her tour of, ‘Streisand – The Main Event’ which kicks off at The Theatre Royal, Winchester on Thursday October 13th 2011.

On September 2nd Lisa Faye will sing a collection of songs from stage, screen and classic pop favourites for the locals in Sutton Scotney starting at 9pm. Come along for a night of great entertainment and company.

Piano Exam Success again!

My piano students have all successfully passed their Piano examinations once again. One of my students, a very talented young man has continued his success from last year when he got a Distinction for his Grade 3 and got a Distinction for his Grade 4! I am so delighted for him as he has put in lots of effort, practicing his pieces and scales. It just goes to show that when you put in the effort how great the outcome can be! The piano examination was taken through the ABRSM (Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music) at the Winchester Centre, Hampshire and more of my students will be taking their Grade 1 and 2 in piano in June, so Good Luck and remember - ‘Perfect Practice Makes Perfect Pieces! ‘. For anyone interested in piano or singing lessons please contact me. I am now taking enquiries for holiday practice over the summer and for September lessons. Just announced a preview of Lisa Faye’s fantastic show, ‘Streisand – The Concert’ to be performed on Saturday 14th August 8pm, Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney, Winchester, before it’s Edinburgh Festival Debut!

Lisa Faye’s show takes you on a musical journey through a collection of songs that Streisand brought to life with her unique style and interpretation. From Streisand’s first intimately recorded standard, You’ll Never Know, through to award winning films like, Funny Girl and Number 1 hits such as Evergreen, including some lesser known gems.

Superb musical arrangements have been created by Musical Director and Arranger Allan Rogers (Strictly Come Dancing). Allan accompanies the much celebrated Lisa Faye who delivers her songs expertly, interjected with fun and interesting anecdotes about Streisand and her music.

Lisa Faye is costumed in original Streisand show gowns secured at Streisand’s November charity auction in Beverley Hills, Los Angeles and they can be seen for the first time in the UK at this musical extravaganza preview of one of the greatest Divas Ever!

Lisa Faye has created a new show, ‘DIVA’s – THE CONCERT’ which she will be premiering on Friday 2nd October, at Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney, Winchester. The show is a musical celebration of some of the greatest Diva’s of our time including, Shirley Bassey, Judy Garland and Dusty Springfield.

Following the sell out success of her last performance at Victoria Hall with ’Streisand – The Concert’ back in June 2009, we are expecting another spectacular evening with proceeds this time going to Wonston Church, as a thank you from Lisa Faye to the local parish that have made her so welcome since her move to the area 3 years ago.

Singing In The Rain!

I literally was singing in the rain this weekend at the Wonston Fete, Winchester, Hampshire and as the weather forecast hadn’t been that great put together sang songs with a weather theme like, ‘The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow ‘ and ‘Don’t Rain On My Parade’ – but it did! I was delighted to be invited back to sing this year and although the rain did come down it didn’t stop the fete being very well attended and everyone having a great afternoon, raising lots of money along the way! The Fete was held at The Mill House, Sutton Scotney, Nr Winchester and as well as entertainment from myself The Amesbury Town Band also played on through the rain! The show must go on!

STREISAND SUCCESS

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to, ‘STREISAND -THE CONCERT’ on Friday 19th June. It was a complete sell out and a fantastic evening. Following the success and demand I am planning my next show already for September 18th 2009. The evening raised a fantastic £353.55 for local children’s hospice Naomi House to whom I will be presenting a cheque.
