Happy New Year!

Well here we are in 2012, Happy New Year to you all, and here’s to a great year! 2012 is already panning out as a busy year for me - I will be performing on three cruises with Fred Olsen throughout the year and continuing to tour the UK with my show ‘Streisand – The Main Event’ – visiting Radlett, Hedge End and my own home town Doncaster! 2012 is an especially important year for Barbra Streisand where she will celebrate her 70th birthday and 40 years in the entertainment industry!

January kicks off with a sell out show at Ovation, Mayflower Theatre in Southampton on Monday 16th January, where I will be performing my show, ‘Streisand – The Main Event’ for diners at Ovation. I have already performed my Diva’s show for South Wonston OAP Club earlier this week and what a lovely afternoon of songs made famous by our greatest Diva’s Ella Fiztgerald, Judy Garland, Doris Day and Shirley Bassey, all topped off with a cup of tea and a sandwich. Perfect!

Lions International Cabaret

Lisa Faye is delighted to have been invited to provide the after dinner entertainment for Slough Lions Club once again this year.

The President Thea McIntyre has asked Lisa Faye to sing a collection of songs from her ‘Diva’s’s show for the after dinner cabaret at The Manor Hotel, Datchett, near Windsor on 31st July 2011.

Lisa Faye’s songs will include songs made famous by some of our greatest Diva’s such as Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe and many more.

Streisand dresses on sale

Famous dresses worn by Barbra Streisand in Hello Dolly and Funny Girl are up for auction. Debbie Reynolds has put some of her amazing Hollywood costumes up for auction and they include the fabulous gold threaded Hello Dolly dress and roller skating costumes form Funny Girl.
The costumes going up for auction on June 18 also include Marilyn Monroe’s famous white dress expected to go for $1,000,000 and Dorothy’s Red Shoes and blue smock from The Wizard of Oz as worn by Judy Garland. Other costumes from films include, Charlie Chaplins bowler hat, suits of Laurel and Hardy and many more. Debbie Reynolds a Hollywood superstar in her own right wanted to make a museum of her collection but is now having to part with it so others can share in its splendor. Lots also include those from her films including, ‘Singing In The Rain’.

Wonston Fete 2010

What a huge success the Wonston Fete was this year, my prayers were answered and the sun shone on us all day. I introduced James Lansdale, BBC Deputy Political Editor to open the fete at 2pm which was excellently attended with a queue already forming at the gate from 1.30pm! I sang a selection of easy listening jazz standards from Judy Garland, through to Ella Fitzgerald and of course Barbra Streisand, including, ‘Happy Days Are Here Again’, ‘Fever’ and ‘Mack The Knife’ It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and thank you to Wonston for asking me to provide the entertainment, it was a pleasure. Lisa Faye is delighted to be providing the entertainment for a 40th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday 28th March, Bedfordshire. Lisa Faye will be performing her, ‘Dinner With A Diva’ cabaret show after lunch followed by songs and music to dance to with her ‘Live Disco Show’ accompanied by her 5678 Disco well into the evening. Lisa Faye has created a new show, ‘DIVA’s – THE CONCERT’ which she will be premiering on Friday 2nd October, at Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney, Winchester. The show is a musical celebration of some of the greatest Diva’s of our time including, Shirley Bassey, Judy Garland and Dusty Springfield.

Following the sell out success of her last performance at Victoria Hall with ’Streisand – The Concert’ back in June 2009, we are expecting another spectacular evening with proceeds this time going to Wonston Church, as a thank you from Lisa Faye to the local parish that have made her so welcome since her move to the area 3 years ago.
