Lisa Faye has been going through her archives of past song writing material looking for ideas for her new album, due out later this year. She came across ‘My Favourite Place’ – a particular favourite of her’s which she wrote back in 2003.

Lisa Faye teamed up with Paul Everitt, a musical arranger and producer in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire to record the song.

I Know Him So Well

We have just found this on Itunes! Lisa Faye recorded this single with Loose Women star Jane McDonald back in 1996 for Music Factory and Energise Records.It is a hi energy dance version of the famous duet, ‘I Know Him So Well’ from Chess, made famous by Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickson.

The song made No.2 in the American Dance Charts and can now be found on the 2007 Essential Energise Album. This was recorded prior to Jane McDonald’s current fame back when the two Yorkshire gals were singing on the Northern Club Circuits! Lisa Faye is know as Lisa Lush on the track.

Lisa Faye was interviewed by Katie Martin on her BBC Radio Solent show last Wednesday about her West End debut with her show ‘Streisand – The Main Event’. A show which started life as ‘Streisand – The Concert’ in Sutton Scotney’s Victoria Hall, Winchester less than 2 years ago, before heading to Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2010 where it received 5 stars. Lisa Faye is now performing the show at Trafalgar Studios, London with the final show this coming saturday. I do love this song, it was first introduced to me by my singing teacher at drama school and I have been singing it ever since. Made famous by Julie London it has been sang by so many other artistes including another favourite of mine Barbra Streisand. I am performing a concert of her songs, ‘STREISAND – THE CONCERT’ on June 19th at Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney, Winchester.

Tears In Her Eyes

I wrote this song on a beach in Cumbria some years ago now and when a couple of years later I teamed up with producer and arranger Paul Everitt he created the song as it is today. The song originally was a ballad, but Paul weaved his magic creating the dance track that you can listen to here. In 2005 it was released through Ruck Records and featured on the BPI’s album of new music at Popkomm 05.
