Into final festival weekend we go

So we are on a roll, camp Streisand is looking forward to a huge final weekend of shows of Streisand the Concert at Edinburgh festival fringe 2010. We have had our video production team up this week who have been filming the show…. Now they will be locked in the editing suite.

The canapes at each show have been very well received , with our 15 50 slot I consider then afternoon tea…..fringe style !

Off to wake the boys up as they are such big sleepers in !!!

Tickets for Lisa Faye’s PREVIEW show are now on sale online.

As advertised on BBC Radio Solent today, Lisa Faye is performing a Preview of ‘Streisand – The Concert’ before she heads to Edinburgh Festival Fringe at the end of the month.

The preview show is on Saturday 14th August at Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney, Hampshire and is a great opportunity for those who want to see the show but can’t make the trip to Edinburgh.

Today Lisa Faye is being interviewed by Katie Martin on her radio show at BBC Radio Solent from 1.15pm – 1.30pm today, Monday 9th August.

Lisa Faye will be discussing her forthcoming show, ‘Streisand -The Concert’ opening at Edinburgh Festival Fringe from 22 – 30 August and the preview of the show this Saturday at Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney for those locals who won’t be able to travel up and see the show.

For those who don’t know the Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the largest arts festival in the world and it kicked off yesterday 6 August with more than 21,000 performers in almost 2,500 shows, of which Lisa Faye with her show, ‘Streisand – The Concert’ will be one come 22 – 30 August!

This morning I received a fantastic email from Martin Erlichman, Barbra Streisand’s manager for over 40 years and the gentleman who discovered her!

I had sent a letter to Barbra Streisand and Martin Erlichman informing them of my musical celebration all about her, ‘Streisand – The Concert’ and that I am to perform it at the worlds largest arts festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, from 22 – 30 August 2010 at C Central, Carlton Hotel, Edinburgh.

Today I received a personal email wishing me the best of luck…

‘Dear Lisa -

I am in receipt of your letter with regards to your “Streisand-The Concert” you are putting on.
Barbra is currently on holiday…., but I’m sure she would join me in wishing you the very best on your concert.’

Lisa Faye has had her Edinburgh Festival Fringe show featured on the official Barbra Streisand Website!

Lisa Faye will be joining another 2452 shows at this the largest arts festival in the world and she is the only lady bringing Streisand’s story and music to the festival. The show, ‘Streisand – The Concert’ is showing at C Venues, C Central, Carlton Hotel from 22 – 30 August.

Just announced a preview of Lisa Faye’s fantastic show, ‘Streisand – The Concert’ to be performed on Saturday 14th August 8pm, Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney, Winchester, before it’s Edinburgh Festival Debut!

Lisa Faye’s show takes you on a musical journey through a collection of songs that Streisand brought to life with her unique style and interpretation. From Streisand’s first intimately recorded standard, You’ll Never Know, through to award winning films like, Funny Girl and Number 1 hits such as Evergreen, including some lesser known gems.

Superb musical arrangements have been created by Musical Director and Arranger Allan Rogers (Strictly Come Dancing). Allan accompanies the much celebrated Lisa Faye who delivers her songs expertly, interjected with fun and interesting anecdotes about Streisand and her music.

It’s that time of year again, tomorrow Lisa Faye will be singing a collection of songs from her vast repertoire at Wonston’s Summer Fete. Fingers crossed the weather stays dry and doesn’t rain on their parade like last year! The fete opens at 2pm with Lisa Faye singing jazz, pop and standards throughout the afternoon, before heading off to provide the entertainment for the Captains Summer Dinner Dance at Basingstoke Golf Club. Lisa Faye will greet guests on arrival with a selection of easy listening summer songs and then after dinner provide singing and disco for dancing until 1am!
