What a huge success the Wonston Fete was this year, my prayers were answered and the sun shone on us all day. I introduced James Lansdale, BBC Deputy Political Editor to open the fete at 2pm which was excellently attended with a queue already forming at the gate from 1.30pm! I sang a selection of easy listening jazz standards from Judy Garland, through to Ella Fitzgerald and of course Barbra Streisand, including, ‘Happy Days Are Here Again’, ‘Fever’ and ‘Mack The Knife’ It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and thank you to Wonston for asking me to provide the entertainment, it was a pleasure.
